ABOUT THE ARTIST 

Raine Hamilton is a bilingual (EN/FR) singer-songwriter based in Winnipeg MB. She believes that music is for everyone, and that we all have something to share. Raine has 18 years experience working with young people, including 7 years in the school system. Raine offers performances and songwriting workshops that seek to leave a lasting impact; She shares a message of self love, and teaches a creative process that can be practiced for life.

ABOUT THE PERFORMANCES

STARLIGHT, STORIES AND SONGS

In this set of stories and songs specially prepared for young audiences, folk singer songwriter Raine Hamilton uses her guitar, violin, and voice to share her story. Combining humour and vulnerability, Raine lets the students in on her heart opening journey to self acceptance. Raine believes that music is for everyone, so she offers the show with American Sign Language interpretation to make her shows more accessible to the Deaf community, and to increase awareness of inclusion.

Available in English or bilingual EN/FR. ASL interpretation available with English show only.

ABOUT THE SONGWRITING WORKSHOP

Songwriting is for everyone, and it can be heaps of fun! Participants explore what they have to say using time-tested writing prompts about their own memories and experiences, because we are all interesting, we are all important, and we all have something to share. Raine walks students through a step-by-step process that leaves room for creative exploration and rule breaking. Raine is happy to explore specific themes and curriculum connections.
