February 1 - Nashville MB | Writer’s Round Series at Kilter Brewing, Winnipeg, MB. Nashville MB is a monthly Writers Round series at the cozy taproom at Kilter Brewing Co. Each month features intimate performances by four of Manitoba’s songwriters who will share their songs in turn. Doors at 7pm, music at 7:30pm. Writers are: Raine Hamilton, Fold Paper and JD Edwards. American Sign Language Interpreted Tour:
This October, the Raine Hamilton String Trio headed out on their first tour with American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation. Raine started presenting concerts with ASL interpretation in 2017, in consultation with the Deaf community. Raine believes that music is for everyone who wants it, and she is working to make concerts and the music community more inclusive.
All of the concerts were entirely ASL interpreted, with every spoken and sung word interpreted into the visual language. The trio performed songs from the new album Night Sky, some from the first album, Past Your Past, and some new songs, too.
